First Lego League

Coach, 2021-2023

FIRST® LEGO® League sparks curiosity and confidence in young minds through hands-on STEM experiences. I coached students on building and coding the LEGO robots to complete a series of challenges. Along with the other coaches, I facilitated weekly sessions to teach programming concepts, improve students’ presentation skills, and plan the projects. The season culminated in a local tournament.

A LEGO Robotics Coach guides student teams (typically ages 5–16) in building and programming robots, often for FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competitions. Coaches facilitate learning, foster teamwork, and encourage problem-solving rather than providing direct technical solutions. They organize meetings, manage team dynamics, and often, but not always, have a background in STEM or education.
